According to their website, Dean Health Plan has received the highest ranking in Member Satisfaction among health plans in the Minnesota-Wisconsin region for the 2nd year in a row. This is from the JD Power and Associates 2010 US Member Health Insurance Plan Study released recently.
This study, which is now in it’s 4th year, measures satisfaction among members who purchased individual health insurance or insurance through their employer from 133 health plans in 17 areas throughout the US. The study looks at 7 factors which include coverage and benefits, information and communication, claims processing, statements, customer service, provider choice, and approval processes.
Dean Health Plan received 750 on a 1000 point scale and does very well in Minnesota and Wisconsin in 4 out of the 7 factors which are information and communication, coverage and benefits, statements and claims and processing. Other plans that did well for this area include HealthPartners with a score of 731 and BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota. This is useful information for those shopping around for Wisconsin or Minnesota health insurance.
